Answers to the puzzles are stored with an item reference, not with anything about you except your account if you have one. We use them, without your identity, to check how hard each puzzle really is and keep scoring accurate.

Payments

Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and we never see or store it. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.

Who else handles your data

  • Supabase (account sign-in and our database)
  • Netlify (hosting the website)
  • Stripe (payments)
  • Resend (sending emails about your membership)
  • Google (only if you sign in with Google, or allow the advertising cookie)

Some of these companies store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Cookies and storage on your device

The site stores a few things in your browser so it works: your sign-in, your test progress (so a refresh doesn't lose your answers), and whether you allowed the advertising cookie. These are necessary for the site and don't track you elsewhere. The only tracking cookie is the Google Ads one, and it's set only if you choose "Allow". To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and you'll be asked again.

How long we keep things

  • Your account and results: until you ask us to delete them. Email us and we'll delete your account and everything linked to it.
  • Payment records: 6 years, because tax law requires it. These are kept by Stripe and include no test results.
  • Results from tests taken without an account, and usage events, aren't linked to you.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to move it elsewhere. Email iqcentreuksupport@gmail.com from your account's email address. We'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

The site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
